It's been such a long time since I last posted something here on my website, and I thought it was time to give you some info about what has happened in my life and where I'm today.
I have laid both Survivorian and DS Audual aside for a while and I don't know for how long. I'm more family orientated now, but in the same time, I don't want to throw my projects away just like that, since I have worked on them for many years. I'm not sure what to do with the game and the music program yet, but I was thinking of going smaller, like making a much simpler and smaller game than Survivorian in the near future.
Since January 2018, I have been working as a full time freelancer in web development, so I can do my work at home, and I have finally established a company with the same name as my studio name, Dannek Studio.
When I said that I'm more family orientated, I mean that I have a girlfriend since August 2017. Having her, a full time job and my own company to look out for, due to my freelance job, plus visiting my family and friends more often than ever, will not give me much more time left for software development. In the same time, I'm soon 28, and I don't want to end up being an old dad, due to some "Just-one-more-year-of-software-development" or "Argh, just one more year" mentality. Time goes so fast, especially when you do the things you love.
However, I still don't want to lose my involvement when it comes to other game developers. I still like to do music and sound effects for other people and it looks like I'm going to do some more work for ThinMatrix soon, and hopefully for more people in the future.
Anyway, that's my life wrapped up in short. I'll try to update you guys more frequently next time.
New priorities, due to freelancer job, family and girlfriend
